I’m wondering how many more senile things I’m going to do before I reach 40.
Cheeks started swim lessons this Monday. She couldn’t have been more excited, which was kind of surprising. Cheeks can’t stand water in her face, doesn’t want any business with splashing. She clutches to ya like a baby octopus afraid to swim. Ok, I’m exaggerating. She’s getting better. I’m relieved to see that she’s enjoying her class and wants to go back each day.
I find out today that we’ve been attending the wrong class. I’m such a**. Honestly, I don’t know what’s going on with my wonderful brain. The day that registration opened up for the swim classes all were filled except for two. Over time I forgot exactly all the information, but assumed for some reason that she had the 9:50AM swim class. (Now I ask ya, how do I just pull that time out of the air and there’s actually a class at that time? And it’s the same level too? Hmmmm???) Anyway, when we got home I checked the time I had picked for her and it turns out that they (the parks and rec.) were right. Humph. Cheeks is suppose to be in the 10:20AM class. She’ll be the new kid in class tomorrow.
At least this moment of mental laps wasn’t as bad as the time I called up the wrong pediatric’s office at nine in the morning. I ended up wasting the receptionist’s time for 20 minutes. I was getting really weirded out when they said that she hadn’t seen the doctor for over a year when in fact she HAD seen the her just this May. I had changed the kids’ doctor and didn’t realize I auto-dialed the old one…..Boy did I feel real dumb when I hung up.
